PURPOSE: A device for grinding the surface of a bowling ball is provided to grind the surface of the bowling ball without scratches or biased abrasion as the position is correctly controlled to fit the diameter of various bowling balls. CONSTITUTION: A device for grinding the surface of a bowling ball comprises a base main body unit (2), a rotary support unit, a bowling ball grinding unit (13), and a position control unit (27). The rotary support unit rotates the bowling ball in which is put on the same according to rotation of a bowling ball support plate in a normal direction or a reverse direction. The bowling ball grinding unit grinds the surface of the bowling ball in which is put on the bowling ball support plate according to rotation of a grinding body (19) installed in grinding motors (18). In the position control unit, a worm (28) rotates a worm wheel (5) by the rotation of a handle (30) and a driving bevel gear (6) rotates each driven bevel gear (17) while a rotary body (4) is rotated so that a transfer block is moved forwards and backwards along a rotary shaft (16). |
