FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention describes a method for quantitative determination of biguanidine derivatives, specifically glibutide, metformin, proguanil GX, picloxydine and chlorhexidine, in pharmacopoeial preparations, which involves dissolving an analysed sample in purified water or alcohol, holding on a water bath while stirring at temperature of 30-40°C until complete dissolution, bringing the volume of the solution after cooling to the mark with the same solvent and shaking; successive treatment of an aliquot part of the obtained solution with 1% alkaline solution of nitroprusside, 3% hydrogen peroxide solution and 0.1 M potassium hydroxide solution; photoelectric colorimetry of the coloured solution to measure density at wavelength of 490 nm and quantitative determination of biguanidine derivatives by a least square method.EFFECT: high sensitivity, selectivity and accuracy of determining medicinal substances in pharmacopoeial preparations.1 ex, 6 dwg |
