A method for diagnosis of lactase deficiency in infants comprises the of the hydrogen breath test with food lactose load followed by determination the level of parts per million (ppm), and at increasing its rate for more than 20 parts per million (ppm) versus with the basal level, lactase deficiency is diagnosed.
