摘要 PURPOSE: An automatic control apparatus of an advanced oxidation and a method thereof are provided to be able to provide stable and safe water by variably controlling the system operation in consideration of the total reactivity of chemical components inhibiting the production of OH radical in the inflow water, and treating the trace amount of medical substances existing in the water to be processed, tastes and odor materials, and to be able to save energy in operation. CONSTITUTION: An automatic control method of an advanced oxidation process comprises the following steps: a step of selecting elimination target contaminants by monitoring water quality factors of the source water including the UV254 absorbance; a step of measuring the OH radical production inhibition reaction index in consideration of the reactivity of chemical components inhibiting OH radical production by using rhodamine B as an indicator; a step of calculating the UV irradiation amount and the hydrogen peroxide injection amount required in the water treatment system, and the elimination capacity to the elimination target contaminant of the water treatment system in consideration of the selected elimination target contaminant and the measured OH radical production inhibition reaction index; and a step of calculating the UV irradiation amount and the hydrogen peroxide according to a target elimination capacity to the elimination target contaminant, and adjusting the UV irradiation amount and the hydrogen peroxide injection amount by comparing the calculated UV irradiation amount and hydrogen peroxide injection amount.
