FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to otorhinolaryngology and X-ray diagnostics, and can find application in assessing and predicting the stapedoplasty outcome. Substance of the method consists in multispiral computed tomography with three-dimensional or spiral scanning with a slice thickness of 0.3-0.6 mm in the axial projection. Then, the oblique projection is viewed. If an oval window niche width is more than 1 mm, a facial nerve angle is more than 90°, a promontory wall angle is more than 90°, a stapes crus thickness is less than 0.6 mm, a stapes footplate thickness is less than 1 mm, and a distance between the stapes footplate to an internal wall of the vestibule is 2 mm, the positive stapedoplasty outcome is predicted. If the respective values differ from those presented above, the stapedoplasty is expected to be complicated that required additional instruments and equipment to be used, including an implant in some cases.EFFECT: using the present invention allows for the non-invasive and reliable assessment of the anatomical and topographical peculiarities of the expected coverage (the vestibular window), choice of the best surgical approach, operative technique, preparation of the necessary instruments and equipment, that in turn ensures achieving the primary goal of the operation - hearing improvement and complication prevention.1 tbl, 3 ex |
