PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an optical plastic product, capable of dispersing a metal compound in a monomer irrespective of the kind of monomers.SOLUTION: A metal complex with a polythiol compound as a ligand is generated by adding metal alkoxide into a polythiol compound as a first monomer and alcohol as a byproduct that is secondarily synthesized when generating the metal complex is removed. Thereafter, a monomer mixture where an isocyanate compound is mixed with the solution as a second monomer is made to be thermally cured.
