PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for improving print speed by reducing the frequency of access to an external storage medium when performing printing from the external storage medium for print data corresponding to a print form for performing printing by using a plurality of files on a page basis in an image processing apparatus.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus creates configuration information including information indicative of size for each file included in print data stored in an external storage medium and a position in the print data. When acquiring each file in the print data, the image processing apparatus collectively acquires, from external media, other files used for printing of the same page along with an acquisition object file based on the configuration information in a range of storable capacity in a storage part of the image processing apparatus to be temporarily stored in the storage part. The image processing apparatus sequentially performs analyses for printing about the stored files. |
