PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method able to easily reduce a gloss difference between both sides in a double-sided glossing process and able to obtain an image in which thermal blocking is restricted.SOLUTION: In an image forming method, a processed body Wa in which a first toner layer Ta containing clear toner X is heated and pressed on the first side of a recording material P while the first toner layer Ta is kept in close contact with a belt 2; a glossing process is performed for the surface of the first toner layer Ta after the processed body Wa is cooled; then, a processed body Wb in which a second toner layer Tb containing clear toner Y is heated and pressed on the second side of the recording material P while the second toner layer Tb is kept in close contact with the belt 2; and then, a glossing process is performed for the surface of the second toner layer Tb after the processed body Wb is cooled. In the image forming method, the storage elastic modulus G'X(150) of the clear toner X of the first toner layer Ta at 150°C is lower than the G'Y(150) of the clear toner Y of the second toner layer Tb at 150°C. |
