PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sustained release formulations adapted for long-term maintenance therapy in acromegalic patients, and treatment of malignant carcinoid tumor, severe diarrhea associated with vasoactive intestinal peptide tumors (VIPoma tumors) and flushing treatment.SOLUTION: There are prepared sustained release formulations comprising as active ingredient octreotide or a pharmaceutically-acceptable salt thereof and two or more different polylactide-co-glycolide polymers (PLGAs).
