PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regulating the function of a TPR motif protein, a method for screening a substance for regulating the function of a TPR motif protein, and a substance for regulating the function of a TPR motif protein.SOLUTION: A method for regulating the function of a TPR motif protein includes bonding S100 to a TPR motif protein. A screening method for screening a substance for regulating the function of a TPR motif protein includes bringing a TPR motif protein into contact with a candidate substance and then analyzing the function of the TPR motif protein. Thus, a function-regulating substance for activating or inactivating the function of the TPR motif protein can be obtained.
