PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device comprising a new application management mechanism.SOLUTION: The image forming device 101 includes: management means for managing an application; operation screen displaying means for displaying an operation screen to operate the application; and error occurrence displaying means for displaying information indicating that an error has occurred in the application. When the management means receives the information indicating that an error has occurred in the application, the management means notifies the error occurrence displaying means of the occurrence of the error, and then the display screen of the device is switched from the operation screen displayed by the operation screen displaying means to a screen that displays the information indicating that the error has occurred.
