PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an operation burden on a user to appropriately ensure security for printing data.SOLUTION: A device which executes authentication of user identification information and a password set for data, and outputs the data when the authentication succeeds includes: a data receiving means for receiving data via a network; an authentication information receiving means for receiving either user identification information set for the received data or the user identification information and a password; and a password setting means. When the password is not included in the information received by the authentication information receiving means, the password setting means acquires a password associated with the user identification information received by the authentication information receiving means from a user information storage means storing the user identification information and the password in association with each other, and sets the password to the data received by the data receiving means. |
