PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a printing apparatus and method, capable of: increasing an amount of added information to a medium whose reverse side can be seen through the medium like a transparent medium; and allowing a user to select which of first and second images to be formed on the medium should be chosen as an image that is seen through the medium.SOLUTION: A printing apparatus has a head for ejecting ink-droplets from nozzles and printing an image on a transparent medium based on a selected mode. When a first mode is selected, the head prints a first image on the transparent medium, prints a background image on the first image, and prints a second image different from the first image on the background image. When a second mode is selected, the head prints the second image on the transparent medium, prints a background image on the second image, and prints the first image on the background image. |
