PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove radioactive cesium from wood contaminated on a surface thereof with radioactive cesium.SOLUTION: Wood contaminated on a surface thereof with radioactive cesium is washed to be decontaminated, and contaminated solid substances are separated by a separation device from contaminated water used in the decontamination. Then, coagulant such as aluminum sulfate which may include zeolite is added to the contaminated water including tiny contaminated solid substances which have passed through the separation device and the contaminated water added with the coagulant is agitated so as to generate a floc taking in the radioactive cesium. The floc can be separated and removed. |
