PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus for performing three-dimensional NR processing on an input image and outputting the image, the image processing apparatus being capable of suppressing occurrence of a residual image in the outputted image.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: a 3DNR part 201 for, using first image data and second image data obtained through imaging performed at mutually different timings, performing three-dimensional noise reduction (NR) processing to reduce noise in the first image data; an edge detection part 204 for detecting an edge intensity of an image represented by post-processing image data that is image data having undergone the three-dimensional NR processing by the 3DNR part 201; and a synthesis part 203 for determining a synthesis ratio between the first image data and the post-processing image data on the basis of a result of the detection by the edge detection part 204, synthesizing the first image data and the post-processing image data together using the determined synthesis ratio, and outputting synthesis image data obtained as a result of the synthesizing. |
