PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce extreme change of a background color due to a gap between adjacent polarizers.SOLUTION: In a display device including: a liquid crystal cell 4 having a display part; a light source 3 for illuminating the liquid crystal cell 4; and a transmission type refection board 5 provided between the light source 3 and the liquid crystal cell 4, reflecting incident light, transmitting the liquid cell 4 and making incident from a front side, to the side of the liquid crystal cell 4, and transmitting backlight from the light source 3 to the side of the liquid crystal cell 4, the liquid crystal cell 4 laminates a rear face polarizer 44 divided into a plurality of regions, and has a boundary pigmented layer formed on the boundary where the regions are adjacent with each other. |
