PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface modification method of a polysaccharide solid which saves energy, is inexpensive, and reduces an environmental load without mixing strong acid and an organic reagent in discharged water.SOLUTION: A molecule of a modification reagent is carried on a surface of a rough solid particle such as silica gel, and is stirred and mixed with the polysaccharide solid in a solution to introduce a functional group on a surface of the polysaccharide solid. A used modification reagent carrying solid catalyst is recovered with the whole solid particle by a means such as centrifugation, and is reused later. |
