PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding door which can be opened and closed more quietly and smoothly.SOLUTION: In a folding door 3, an upper frame 1 is provided with a rail 4 and a guide plate 5 placed on a hanging base side of the rail; a plurality of panels 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d, 2e and 2f are freely foldably connected; and guide parts 6a, 6b and 6c are provided on upper parts of odd-numbered panels 2a, 2c and 2e from the hanging base side. The guide plate includes a guide groove 7 for a first panel, which guides the guide part 6a of a first panel 2a positioned on the hanging base side and a guide groove 8 for third and succeeding panels, which is continued from a hanging base side end of the rail 4 of the upper frame 1 and guides the guide parts 6b and 6c of third and succeeding panels 2c and 2e from the hanging base side. In the state of folding the folding door, a part from a position of the guide part 6c to a position of the guide part 6b is turned to an inclined part 9, and the guide parts of the third and succeeding panels are shifted in a depth direction and arranged so that the one more separated from the hanging base side is at a position closer to the rail. |
