ALIGNMENT BETWEEN HIGH-DENSITY FOCUSED ULTRASOUND AND IMAGING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for aligning between high-density focused ultrasound (HIFU) and imaging.SOLUTION: Influence such as temperature rise of transmission from an HIFU transducer (32) is detected by another imaging transducer (34). A plurality of positions on coordinates of an imaging system for transmission from the HIFU transducer are determined (16) by a plurality of times of transmission (12). Transformation information related to an imaging system (40) is determined from the detected influence (20). The transformation information can be used for relating the positions in the image of the imaging system (40) to the coordinates of the HIFU transducer (32) for providing HIFU.
