PURPOSE: A manufacturing method for cubic magnesium carbonate using serpentine is provided to manufacture economical magnesium carbonate with excellent crystallization by performing carbonation reaction directly as a single process using serpentine particles. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method for cubic magnesium carbonate using serpentine comprises the following steps of: (a) shattering serpentine, and heat-treating the serpentine at 600-800 deg. C; (b) making a mixture by adding an alkali solution to the preprocessed serpentine particles; and (c) making slurry containing cubic magnesium carbonate by injecting 1-5MPa of carbon dioxide to the mixture from step(b) and performing a carbonation reaction at 100-250 deg. C. After step (c), the manufacturing method for cubic magnesium carbonate also comprises the following step of: (d) obtaining a cubic magnesium carbonate solid from the manufactured slurry. In step (b), the alkali solution is pH 10-14.
