PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the possibility of obtaining a failed photograph in an image pickup device capable of synthesizing continuous shooting.SOLUTION: The image pickup device includes a composite photographing mode. In the composite photographing mode, plural sheets of image data are photographed and then synthesized to create recording use image data. The image pickup device further includes a control unit. If, while in the composite photographing mode, the control unit determines that the plural sheets of image data do not satisfy predetermined conditions, it selects at least one sheet of image data among the plural sheets of image data. Then, the control unit creates recording use image data on the basis of the at least one sheet of image data among the plural sheets of image data. |
