PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for simplifying an operation of changing a display image while suppressing the scale of hardware in a touch panel type portable information terminal.SOLUTION: A portable information terminal comprises: display means that displays an image; contact detection means that detects contact on a contact detection area; tilt detection means that detects the tilt of its own terminal; and control means that when acquiring first detection information from the contact detection means, displays a display object based on the first detection information on the display means, and changes the image on the basis of the detection result of the tilt detection means.
