PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for inspecting a welding part of a boiler water cooling wall, capable of quickly, easily and surely inspecting a defect penetrated through a welding part between water cooling pipes and fins or between fins in the boiler water cooling wall.SOLUTION: A vacuum box 100 of an apparatus for inspecting a welding part of a boiler water cooling wall includes: two sidewalls respectively arranged along parallel water cooling pipes; at least one end wall 114 arranged so as to intersect a longitudinal direction of the parallel water cooling pines 10; a side edge sealing member for sealing between edges of the sidewalls and the parallel water cooling pipes 10; and an end edge sealing member 130 for sealing among an edge 138 of the end wall 114, the parallel water cooling pipes 10 and the fins 12. An edge 130 of the end wall 114 has a linear edge part 140 made along the fins 12 and an arc-shaped edge part 142 made along the parallel water cooling pipes 10, and the end edge sealing member 130 has a linear seal part 146 attached to the liner edge part 140 and an arc-shaped seal part 148 attached to the arc-shaped edge part 142. |
