PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system with a short preparation period for photographing, efficiently utilizing the electric power supply capacity of a power supply.SOLUTION: A camera system comprising a camera and exchange equipment having storage means for preliminarily storing electric energy required for a predetermined operation as electric energy information includes: a power supply common to the camera and the exchange equipment; and power supply control means for controlling electric power supply from the power supply to the camera and the exchange equipment. The power supply control means controls the output of the power supply by using the electric energy information.
