PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-in-oil (W/O) emulsion ink showing excellent print density and saturation of a printed material and particularly suitable for inkjet printing.SOLUTION: A water-in-oil (W/O) emulsion ink contains a water-soluble dye and a water-soluble clathrate in an aqueous phase. The water-soluble clathrate comprises preferably cyclodextrins, and more preferably, α-cyclodextrin, &bgr;-cyclodextrin and γ-cyclodextrin. The water-soluble clathrate is compounded by 0.02 or more in terms of a mass ratio with respect to the water-soluble dye. |
