PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an avionics full-duplex switched ethernet(R) data network including multiple hosts.SOLUTION: The network includes: multiple hosts 100, 102, 104 each having at least one communication port 106; at least one VES 118, 120 physically separated from the multiple hosts; and virtual links extending from at least one of the communication ports of one of the hosts to the communication ports of other multiple hosts, where the virtual links pass through the VES. |
