SEAL MATERIAL FOR EAVES SOFFIT CORNER AND SEAL STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal structure of eaves soffit corner having an eaves soffit material with a side end face or a side end provided with a flexible lip made of rubber, resin, or thermoplastic elastomer in elastic contact with the surface of an external wall material, which has excellent followability to the irregularity of the surface of the external wall material so as to prevent intrusion of a small animal such as a rat.SOLUTION: A lip 21 includes a holding part 22 formed of soft material which is attached to the side end of an eaves soffit material through a fixture 2 and a soft part 23 with a hook-shaped cross section which is integrally formed of the holding part 22 and extends obliquely downward in a direction away from the holding part 22. The holding part 22 is provided with slits at an interval in the longitudinal direction of the lip 21 so as to form lip pieces 25 between the slits. The lip 21 allows the lip pieces 25 to be compressed against the surface of the external wall material when an eaves soffit material 1 is constructed, such that the individual lip pieces 25 follow the irregularities of the external wall material without constraint of movement from neighboring lip pieces 25 so as to prevent the intrusion of a small animal such as a rat from a gap at a recess.
