PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch the operation of a drive circuit with appropriate timing and also simplify the circuit configuration.SOLUTION: A light-emitting diode drive device comprises: first bypass means 21, connected in series to a first LED unit 11, which controls the amount of electrical conduction to the first LED unit 11; fourth bypass means 24, connected in series to a second LED unit 12, which controls the amount of electrical conduction to the first LED unit 11 and the second LED unit 12; current detection means 4 which detects a current detection signal based on the amount of current flowing on an output line OL to which the first LED unit 11 and the second LED unit 12 are connected in series; and current control means 30 which outputs an operation control signal to control the operation of the first bypass means 21 and the fourth bypass means 24 according to the current detection signal detected by the current detection means 4. The current control means 30 includes one output for outputting the operation control signal, and the first bypass means 21 and the fourth bypass means 24 are connected in parallel to the one output. |
