PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a serial-parallel conversion circuit that converts a high-speed serial signal into a parallel signal; a display device with a reduced number of external connection terminals and high image quality; and a method of driving the serial-parallel conversion circuit that converts a high-speed serial signal into a parallel signal.SOLUTION: In a serial-parallel conversion circuit provided with a plurality of units in each of which a sampling switch and an amplifier are serially connected, the sampling switch is configured so as to output part of a serial signal to the amplifier only via one transistor (specifically, a third transistor).
