PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball excellent in aerodynamic symmetry and carry.SOLUTION: On the basis of a surface shape which appears every second at a predetermined position of a golf ball having a large number of dimples on the surface by rotating the golf ball, a data group on a parameter depending on the surface shape is calculated. A preferable parameter is a distance between an axis of rotation and the surface of the golf ball. Another preferable parameter is a capacity of a space between the surface of a virtual ball and the surface of the golf ball. A fluctuation range is calculated based on a maximum value and a minimum value of the data group. The fluctuation range is divided by the total capacity of the dimples, to calculate a value for evaluation. This value is calculated with respect to each of PH rotation and POP rotation. |
