PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means for making it easy to capture a desired image without missing a shutter chance in slow live shooting.SOLUTION: An image pickup device comprises an image sensor, an image acquisition unit, an evaluation value calculation unit, and a display control unit. The image sensor picks up the image of the subject to generate an image. The image acquisition unit acquires a plurality of images generated in a time series at first time intervals by the image sensor. The evaluation value calculation unit analyzes the plurality of images acquired by the image acquisition unit to calculate evaluation values for each image. The display control unit exerts control so that the plurality of images are sequentially displayed on a display unit at second time intervals longer than the first time interval, and that the result of evaluation on the evaluation value of a currently displayed image and/or the result of evaluation on individual evaluation values including images acquired at a later time of day than that image are displayed on the display unit. |
