PURPOSE: A device for detecting sodium contained in a liquid is provided to obtain the accuracy of measuring the concentration and the stability of a base which becomes a standard of the measurement by minimizing a temperature change and the influence of noise, thereby measuring the concentration of a small amount of sodium repeatedly and accurately. CONSTITUTION: A device for detecting sodium contained in a liquid includes a sodium detector (100), a temperature signal processing unit (110), a low noise amplifying unit (120), a filtering and amplifying unit (130), and a signal processing and controlling unit (150). The sodium detector detects the concentration of sodium contained in the liquid by voltages. The temperature signal processing unit measures the temperature of the sodium detector. The low noise amplifying unit amplifies the voltages detected by the sodium detecting unit into low noise signals proportional to a difference of the voltages. The filtering and amplifying unit amplifies the low noise signals outputted by the low noise amplifying unit at a predetermined level and filters the amplified low noise signals. The signal processing and controlling unit detects the concentration of the sodium according to the low noise signals received from the filtering and amplifying unit and refers to voltages of an electrode of a standard solution measured under difference temperature conditions and stored in a memory unit, thereby compensating the detected concentration of the sodium according to the temperature measured by the temperature signal processing unit.
