PURPOSE: A sub-panel and a stereoscopic image display device including the same are provided to improve the quality of a stereoscopic image by transmitting a first image and a second image to an observer. CONSTITUTION: A sub-panel (300) includes a first substrate (310), a second substrate (320), and a liquid crystal layer (330). The first substrate forms a horizontal electric field or a fringe electric field to a first direction. The second substrate is separated from the first substrate. The liquid crystal layer is formed between the first and the second substrate. The liquid crystal of the liquid crystal layer differentiates major axis refractivity from minor axis refractivity.
