摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological information acquisition device, capable of reducing the number of elements, and further accurately imaging the position and size of an acoustic wave generation source even when the number of elements is reduced.SOLUTION: A biological information acquisition device includes: an acoustic wave detector having an alignment of a plurality of elements detecting acoustic wave generated from a subject and converting it into an electric signal; a movement controller which moves the acoustic wave detector from a first position to a second position; and a signal processor which reconstitutes a biological information image based on the electric signal. The acoustic wave detector includes voids provided in the alignment of the elements, and the acoustic wave detector detects the acoustic wave at the first position, and detects the acoustic wave at the second position after it is moved by the movement controller so that, at the second position, the elements correspond to the portions that were voids at the first position. The signal processor reconstitutes the biological information image from an electric signal obtained at the first position and an electric signal obtained at the second position.
