PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a permanent magnet motor whereby demagnetization in a low temperature state can be avoided, and speedy start is possible.SOLUTION: This control device of the permanent magnet motor includes a stator, a coil provided in the stator, a permanent magnet, and a rotor having the permanent magnet. During start of the motor, when the temperature of the permanent magnet is not more than a prescribed value, a current having a first frequency is applied to the coil with the motor kept in a stopped state, when the temperature of the permanent magnet is still not more than the prescribed value after that, a current having a second frequency lower than the first frequency is applied to the coil with the motor kept in a stopped state, and when the temperature of the permanent magnet is not less than the prescribed temperature, the motor is started. |
