A CATALYST FOR STEAM REFORMING OF HYDROCARBONS AND METHOD OF STEAM REFORMING OF HYDROCARBONS USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A catalyst for reforming steam of hydrocarbon and a method of reforming steam of hydrocarbon using the same are used in relatively higher temperatures without loss due to low reactivity of a given catalyst carrier and also can be used as a catalyst for the reforming reaction of methane, ethane, propane, butane, and other aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbon because of the availability of the catalyst at high temperatures. CONSTITUTION: A catalyst for reforming steam of hydrocarbon has a catalyst carrier, and transition metal ions or transition metal mixture ions dispersed in the catalyst carrier. The particle diameter of constituent particles of the catalyst carrier is 1-5 mm. The catalyst carrier is one selected from a group of acid washing processed sub-bituminous, bituminous, anthracite, graphite, activated charcoal, and carbon black.
