PURPOSE: An intaking device for underground water and a construction method thereof are provided to prevent foreign substances and contaminated surface water from flowing in, be simply constructed, and reduce construction costs. CONSTITUTION: An intaking device comprises an intake hole (300), a water intake pipe (310), a gravel layer (320), a grouting layer (340), and a contamination preventing cap (200). The intake hole is formed from the ground surface to a water bearing layer at the same diameter and includes a plurality of underground water inflow holes on the lower part. The water intake pipe is inserted into the lower end of the water intake pipe. The gravel layer is formed by inputting gravel in the space between the water intake hole and the intake hole. A casing is inserted into the intake hole. The grouting layer is formed between the water intake pipe and the casing. The contamination preventing cap is inserted through the water intake pipe and is connected to the upper end of the casing.
