PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize a radiation and reception diversity antenna.SOLUTION: An electronically operable antenna comprises: at least one driven element; at least one controllable balancing elements 131, 132, 133; and a support structure on which the driven element and the controllable balancing elements 131, 132, 133 are disposed. The controllable balancing elements 131, 132, 133 have at least one geometric characteristic which can be changed. A radiation angle of the driven element is selectively controlled, at least in part, by modifying the geometric characteristic of the at least one controllable balancing elements 131, 132, 133. The balancing elements 131, 132, 133 include a plurality of conductive segments 321, 322, 323, 324, 325, 326, 327, at least a subset of which is individually electrically connected so as to modify the radiation angle of the driven element. |
