PURPOSE: A method for synthesizing 1-substituted-tetrazole-5-thione is provided to implement synthesis of 1-substituted-tetrazole-5-thione at room temperature. CONSTITUTION: A method for synthesizing 1-substituted-tetrazole-5-thione comprises: dissolving an isothiocyanate compound and an azide salt in water and reacting at room temperature under a basic condition; a step of adding water and an organic solvent to the produced reactant and separating layers; a step of adding strong acid to a solution layer and adjusting to pH 0.5-2; a step of extracting the solution layer with an organic solvent and washing the extract with water; a step of drying the organic solution and generating solid; and a step of recrystallizing the solid using an organic solvent. |
