<p>Provided is a storage system comprising at least: a first information processing device having a first logical storage area that configures a data storage region, and a first data processing unit; and a second information processing device that has a second logical storage area that configures a data storage region, and a second data processing unit. The storage system has a configuration in which the first information processing device: calculates a total backup time, a total restore time, a total clean-up time, and a total network time for each data attribute that indicates a type of data that is a target for backup; and obtains a combination of the data attribute, the first data processing unit, and the second data processing unit in which each of the abovementioned times is within a predetermined time limit, the data amount is reduced by the maximum amount possible given the choices, and the upper limit value of the predetermined variation range set for the overall backup time is within the backup time limit.</p> |
