<p>PURPOSE: A data sharing system and a method thereof are provided to implement data sharing between devices which are operated in the OS environments different from each other by sharing a user interface (UI) of an application which shares a layout. CONSTITUTION: An application extracting unit (11) extracts an application, and a layout file extracting unit (12) extracts a layout file of the application. A layout file storing unit (13) stores the layout file, and a transmission unit (14) transmits the layout file to a receiving device. The layout file comprises an extensible markup language (XML), and includes the ID of data which is express on a layout; data which show the expression method of the data; a characteristic value which shows the characteristic ID value of the layout; the information about the blank spaces of the layout; the size information; and the location information.
