PURPOSE: A route guiding method of a navigation system is provided to guide a route passing a road where a bus-only lane is existed when selecting a bus-only lane mode, thereby reducing time required until arriving at a destination. CONSTITUTION: A route guiding method of a navigation system is comprises: a step(S101) of determining a vehicle model when the navigation system is booted; a step(S102,S103) of searching a route by operating navigation system identically with a preset mode if the vehicle model is a sedan and a van for 6 persons or less; a step(S104,S105) of confirming whether a route set by a driver uses a bus-only lane or not if the vehicle model is a sedan and a van for 6 persons or less; a step(S106,S107) of searching a route by operating navigation system identically with the preset mode if the traffic on the bus-only lane is not light and confirming whether bypassing when using the bus-only lane is necessary or not if the traffic on the bus-only lane is light; a step(S108) of searching a route by operating navigation system identically with the preset mode if time required when using the bus-only lane is longer than time required when using a normal road; and a step(S109) of providing a route by searching the route using the bus-only lane if time required when using the bus-only lane is shorter than time required when using the normal road.
