The present invention relates to a light guide plate and a backlight unit. More particularly, the present invention relates to a light guide plate and a backlight unit, in which the light guide plate has a light incident portion to which light is incident from a light source arranged at a side surface of the light guide plate, the light incident portion having a pattern formed thereon. The pattern is formed such that the dense part and the sparse part of the pattern density may be alternately repeated with periodicity. The pattern density between the dense part and the sparse part varies into a gradation. Thus, the uniformity of luminance is improved while maintaining the level of luminance. |
