The present invention provides a technology of more accurately detecting an object. A signal processing apparatus (1) has a generating unit (2) and a detecting unit (3). The generating unit (2) is provided with a function of generating, as transmitting signals, modulation waves having the frequency thereof non-repetitively changed. The detecting unit (3) is provided with a function of fetching the transmitting signals, and receiving signals, which are received by means of a receiving means that can receive reflection signals generated when the transmitting signals are reflected by an object. Furthermore, the detecting unit (3) is provided with a function of detecting presence of the object and/or the distance to the object and/or moving speed of the object, on the basis of the correlative relationship between the receiving signals and the transmitting signals.
