摘要 <p>An organic electroluminescent element, wherein uneven brightness at a light-emitting face thereof can be reduced and uniform light emission can be achieved, is manufactured using a method that follows the processes of: first organic electroluminescent element manufacturing (first manufacturing process) wherein at least a first electrode layer, a dielectric layer, and a second electrode layer are layered on a substrate in that order, and wherein an organic electroluminescent element, which comprises light-emitting sections that come in contact with the inner faces of recess sections that are formed penetrating the dielectric layer, is manufactured; a brightness distribution measurement process wherein uneven-brightness information of the organic electroluminescent element is obtained by applying a voltage to the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer of the organic electroluminescent element that was manufactured in the first manufacturing process in order to make the light-emitting sections emit light, and by measuring the brightness distribution of the organic electroluminescent element; and second organic electroluminescent element manufacturing (second manufacturing process) wherein uneven brightness in the organic electroluminescent element is reduced by adjusting the density of the recess sections on the basis of the uneven-brightness information obtained in the brightness distribution measurement process.</p>
