PURPOSE: A method for controlling initial combustion rate of hot water use of a hot water supply device is provided to rapidly reach the hot water temperature to predetermined temperature. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling initial combustion rate of hot water use of a hot water supply device comprises: a step of controlling normal combustion rate with a predetermined minimum heat and igniting a combustion unit if a stream of water is detected due to use of the hot water(S2); a step of continuously detecting hot water supply temperature for a first time(t1) with a distance(t2) to a second time(t2) and updating minimum temperature(S3); a step of determining the first time whether passing or not(S4); and a step of confirming the minimum temperature to water temperature(Tin deg. C) after the predetermined first time is passed(S5).
