The machine (10) has a support (14) comprising a fixed impression unit (16), a raising device (18), and a folding device (24), where the raising device comprises a base (20). The folding device comprises a counter-mold (26), and a set of tilting hemming levers (28). A set of displacement units e.g. rods (34), is arranged in the raising device and in the folding device. A pressing device (30) is arranged in the machine, and the counter-mold is fixed at the pressing device. Each hemming lever comprises a strip that is equipped with a support face. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for hemming a flexible material (2) an assembly of an hemming lever and a hemming body.
