POWER GENERATION SYSTEM AND METHOD WITH ORGANIC RANKINE CYCLE USING LNG FUEL OF LNG FUEL VESSEL

PURPOSE: A system and method for generating power with an organic Rankine cycle for a liquefied natural gas (LNG)-fuelled ship using the evaporation of LNG fuel are provided to improve efficiency in generating the power. CONSTITUTION: A system for generating power with an organic Rankine cycle for a liquefied natural gas (LNG)-fuelled ship using the evaporation of LNG fuel includes a heating medium-heat exchanger (3), an organic refrigerant evaporator (7), a gas turbine (9), and an LNG fuel vaporizer (11). The heating medium-heat exchanger raises the temperature of a heating medium (4) such as steam or hot water using waste heat gas (2). The organic refrigerant evaporator allow the hot heating medium to heat-exchange with an organic refrigerant (6) which is pressurized at high pressure by an organic refrigerant pump (5), and then evaporates the organic refrigerant. The gas turbine expands the evaporated organic refrigerant (8) at the high pressure in order to generate electricity. The LNG fuel vaporizer allows the expanded organic refrigerant (10) to heat-exchange with LNG (12), and then condenses the expanded organic refrigerant.
