A switch device for a sunroof comprises: a pane switch piece (6) that is movably operable between open pane positions (C1, C2) and a closed pane position (B) that are for selecting whether to open or close the opening (21) of a sunroof (20) by means of a roof pane (22); and a shade switch piece (7) that is movably operable between an open shade position (C) and closed shade positions (B1, B2) that are for selecting whether to open or close the opening (21) by means of a roof shade (23). The closed shade positions include a first closed position (B1) and a second closed position (B2). The switch device is provided with a linking section (10) that links the pane switch piece (6) to the shade switch piece (7) so that the pane switch piece (6) is moved into the closed pane position (B) when the shade switch piece (7) is moved to the second closed position (B2).
