Provided are a trunnion ball valve for high pressure, and a hydrogen station which are configured so that low-torque characteristics during operation are obtained and which have improved durability which maintains sealing characteristics for a long period of time. A trunnion ball valve is configured in such a manner that seal mechanisms are disposed on both sides of a ball so as to be in seal contact therewith, the ball being provided in a rotatable manner within the body, and in such a manner that the seal mechanisms comprise: seat retainers which have seal surfaces in seal contact with the ball surface; spring members which are mounted in order to apply spring force to the seal surface side; and seal members which are mounted on the outer peripheral surface of the seat retainers. Coating layers consisting of diamond-like carbon are applied to at least both the ball surface and the seal surfaces so that sliding characteristics and sealing characteristics between the ball surface and the seal surface are ensured. |
